Just so you know – there is a musical fountain in Eilat. It’s located in the central public park, Bejamin Garden, right next to the pyramid, which was once an IMAX theatre. The IMAX theatre closed a few months ago. because it didn’t get enough profits. To be honest, I’m not surprised. The place wasn’t a bit interesting.

But about the musical fountain…

Not a lot of people know about it, because it’s hidden from the view. You would expect that such a fountain would be situated in the middle of the touristic area, but the people who make those kind of decisions here in Israel sometimes don’t think too deeply about those factors. I am almost sure that if you wouldn’t have read this post, you wouldn’t have known about the fountain. And that’s a pity! So if you’re in Eilat, remember – pyramid, Benjamin Garden, in a diagonal line from the Mall Hayam Shopping Mall.

Show times of the Musical Fountain: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 20:30 and 21:30. The show is about 20 minutes long.

Why  do I love it? I’ve been to the Musical Fountains about five times since its opening about a year ago, and am always happy to find out that they change the soundtrack. There are some songs that play every single time, but the order is different and there is always something new to hear. I like it that they play old Hebrew music and also give some great modern English hits. They also play classic music, just so you know. It’s real fun. Sometimes I stand up and dance on the green lawn that’s situated behind the viewing stone seats. Depends on my mood and if the crowd seems friendly.

And it’s free!
